I’m having a crisis of confidence. This all started with an intuition: I’m Latina. And while this is only one part of who I am, it very much informs my entire experience. But I don’t find much online that speaks to me. Perhaps there are other Latinas out there who feel as I do, who are on a similar journey. I am learning so much; wouldn’t it be great to share it? But now, as I sit before my computer screen contemplating my next sentence and with a web developer breathing down my neck to get this written before the new look-and-feel of TieneDinero.com goes live, I am at a loss. Perhaps this was a foolish idea. Maybe no one will understand where I am coming from or maybe they will question the source. Who is she? Who am I?

Well, I’m a 37 year-old single Hispanic woman who is a homeowner, a first-time CEO, a twin, one of 11 children, Stanford-educated and a life-long learner. That might not give you much comfort, but I assure you, my intentions are pure. I want Latinas to be financially savvy. I want them to be healthy. I want them to be the idealized versions of themselves—or at least Chic. I want these things for myself.

And so now you find me writing this blog. Here I hope to share my story, highlight some of the fantastic Latinas that I have come to know, divulge great tips and recommend great services. I hope you will join me on this journey. I may not get it right all the time, but I look to you to tell me when I don’t and, of course, when I do.
